Jet City Velo , racing as the ByrneInvent Cycling Team, is based in Seattle
JCV/BI is a team of people who like to ride together, hang out together, and generally have fun. We encourage team members to race but do not expect it. Those of us who race do so because we enjoy competing. When we are in a race we all work with and complement each other’s different abilities and fitness levels. We have developed very solid groups of Men’s and Women’s Masters. We also have a strong group of up-and-coming Men’s Cat 4/5 and Women’s Cat 4 racers.
Racing is not the “be all and end all” of our lives, however. Most of us have careers and/or families but enjoy riding our bikes and staying fit and healthy. We are here because we want to be and look for like-minded individuals who also understand the team concept.
By riding as a team we are achieving individual success as well. We are having a great deal of fun and satisfaction pursuing our hobby as part of a community.
ByrneInvent merges with Black Diamond Racing/TAI
TAI’s off road racing team and ByrneInvent have offically joined forces! TAI has a strong tradition of mountain, downhill, and cyclocross racers. The two teams should compliment each other quite well. Both teams are looking forward to racing together this cross season and beyond!

Carson Miller off the front in Tour de Gila
Carson Miller attacked the break at 7km to go in Stage 1 of the Tour of Gila and was caught by the big hitters 2km from the finish. Carson is recovering well and is going to try again tomorrow. He is doing the Byrne colors proud. Be sure to follow him in the race. Here is one link http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/sram-tour-of-the-gila-ne
Carson is a great rider. He won the U 23 jersey at Bisbee last week.
And here is another shot of him off the front on a climb.
Joe Isner gets win at Ravensadale Road Race
Joe crossed the line in first place with a nice lead out from Stephen Mair (6th place finish!). Also there protecting and helping Joe to victory were Paul Mesojednik and Larry Jorgenson (also top 20).

Shots from Independence Valley Road Race
ByrneInvent was well represented at Independence Valley. Even though Dan and Bob practiced the way you should cross the finish line, others did not get the memo and went across it in a much different manner. Dodi tried to avoid it but could not. He managed to ride back to the parking lot but his bike, kit and body did not look like they did when he left.

What to do if you have a car/bike accident
John Duggan, (Warren & Duggan) one of our sponsors, has written a great article about what to do if you get in an accident with a car.
Please read it (and ride safely!)
