April and May have brought the team lots of success and good times. Bryan Urakawa won the State Road Race championships for Cat 3 men. Mike Gile won the BUDU series XC Cat 1 men’s 40-49 divison and Ken Harmon won the Cat 2 division. Other wins on road and dirt have come from Sheila Walsh, Naoko Forderer, Jeanne DaGloria, and Larry Jorgenson (pictured below at VCRR).

Fischer Plumbing Cycling Team Finishes March Strong in Road and XC!

The Fischer Plumbing road and XC teams finished the first full month of road and XC racing strong, scoring many victories! Matt Lynch and Ken Harmon won their categories at the Whidbey Island XC races, and Rick Benson won his category at the always challenging Independance Valley Road Race! 3 wins in 1 weekend! Mike Gile won the Cat 1 race at BUDU’s westside XC series two weeks earlier as well.

Congrats also go out to Jeanee DaGloria for placing 2nd in her XC race, and Mike Gile for placing 3rd, even after having a mechanical issue. Overall, the team had 14 top 10 finishes over the weekend. Congrats to all the racers for representing Fischer Plumbing Cycling and all of our sponsors well.

The team is back to its winning ways… A strong presence and team work in every race!

Coming up!…Volunteer Park Criterium, Vance Creek Road Race, State Road Championships, and more XC! Also look for Fischer Plumbing Cycling at the 2012 Seward Park Criterium series starting this week on Thursday! Look for Bryan Urakawa and the crew to try and repeat an overall series victory. See you out there!

Fischer Ends 2011 Cyclocross Season Strong!

The Fischer Plumbing Cyclocross Racing Team finished the Seattle Cyclocross and MFG Cyclocross series strong with multiple podiums, and a ton of Top 10 finishes. Congratulations to the racers below for their overall series podium finishes this year, which included 5 wins overall!! Placing at the top of their categories required strong finishes in every race, against some fields that reached over 100 racers.

Another big congratulations to Sabrina Hendricks for her 2nd place podium finish at the 2011 Washington State Cyclocross Championships!

This was a huge year of ‘cross racing for the Fischer Plumbing Cycling Team who represented their sponsors and team well. Here’s to an even better 2012!!

Jet City Velo , racing as the Fischer Plumbing Cycling Team, is based in Seattle

JCV/Fischer Plumbing Cycling Team is a team of people who like to ride together, hang out together, and generally have fun. We encourage team members to race but do not expect it. Those of us who race do so because we enjoy competing. When we are in a race we all work with and complement each other”s different abilities and fitness levels. We have developed very solid groups of Men”s and Women”s Masters. We also have a strong group of Men”s and Women”s open category racers.

Racing is not the “be all and end all” of our lives, however. Most of us have careers and/or families but enjoy riding our bikes and staying fit and healthy. We are here because we want to be and look for like-minded individuals who also understand the team concept.

By riding as a team we are achieving individual success as well. We are having a great deal of fun and satisfaction pursuing our hobby as part of a community.
