Larry Kemp Memorial ride
On Sunday, May 10th, 2009 the Byrne Invent cycling team again sponsored an informal Larry Kemp Memorial ride to raise funds for junior development of young cyclilists. Larry Kemp was a cycling enthusiast and BI team member that was killed while riding his bicycle in Spain. The money raised on May 10th will enable young riders to improve their cycling and safegy skills via camps and workshops.
The benefit was be integrated into the already scheduled Byrne Invent team ride leaving from the Leschi Starbucks. There was no registration fee, but suggested donations of $10 (or more!) were encouraged. A donation jar will be passed around prior to the start of the ride.
We are pleased to report that we raised over $800!

Davis Phinney Foundation
In 2009 Byrne Invent hosted community event that welcomed racers from all teams and riders of every level. Contributions were taken to battle Parkinson’s disease and over $8000 was raised.  The 2010 event is set for May 16 – stay tuned for details.
