Larry Kemp Memorial Ride

Jet City Velo / Byrne Specialty Gases [the team that Larry belonged to] is hosting a memorial bicycle ride to honor and remember Larry Kemp.

Date: Sunday, March 21 2004

We will meet in the park next to the Leschi Starbucks. There are a couple of people that would like to say a few words and then we will proceed to Renton.

The ride will head down Lake Washington Blvd. and Rainier Ave., around the Renton Airport and on to Coulon Park. Every effort will be made to ensure that the ride is orderly, safe and sane and does not obstruct traffic on the way down to Renton. Since there might be quite a large number of people that show up, we encourage everyone to ride to Renton in small groups no more than two abreast so as not to clog the roads and upset drivers.

At Coulon Park, we might regroup but then everyone is encouraged to continue their regular Sunday ride.

NOTE - this ride is NOT about 'attacking because that's what Larry would have done', it's about solidarity, unity and showing support for a friend who's life was unfortunately ended very prematurely. Please be safe and respectful of others.
