Larry Kemp Memorial Ride
Saturday May 27, 2006
Please join the Byrne Specialty Gases Cycling Team/Jet City Velo as we honor the memory of our team mate, Larry Kemp, in a casual paced south end ride Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 10 am, Leschi Starbucks (rally starts at 9:00 am).
Larry's life was cut short when he was hit by a car while on a cycling vacation in Spain, March 16, 2004. Larry was a large part of the cycling community in the Seattle area. He also enjoyed working with young cyclists and since his death, Jet City Velo in conjunction with the WSBA, has developed a memorial fund in his name. Programs funded by these donations are open to all juniors in the Northwest.
This will be a casual paced ride and we encourage teams to ride together in full kit. All donations are tax deductible. Please feel free to donate as much as you wish however a $5 minimum is suggested. Make your checks out to: WSBA.
You can get the flyer here.

This is a 4.9 mile, 1050 ft. vertical, uphill time trial on the Denny Creek Road, recently repaved through a beautiful forested sanctuary. The Denny Creek Rd. is the old westside Snoqualmie Pass Hwy nestled in the Denny Creek Valley between the I90 branches starting near Exit 47 of I90 and topping at the intersection with the Alpental Rd.
